At the Old Mill - Jaymz Bee's Caravan of Music April 9th
Wednesday, April 9th, 2025, is the most significant event yet. 24 bands, over 100 musicians, and 4 DJs will perform in 13 rooms at Old Mill Toronto to raise money for The Unison Fund, a non-profit music industry organization providing counselling, emergency financial support, and other resources to the Canadian music community.
Jaymz Bee’s Caravan of Music is a four-hour event where hundreds of people tour the historic Old Mill Toronto rooms, taking in a few songs from each band. Tickets (a passport) are $48 each, with 100% of the door going to The Unison Fund and access to all rooms. You can enjoy over 120 musicians in one evening, performing various styles of music. Swing Shift will have the Brule Ballroom to ourselves for 3 hours of dance music, or sit and listen, your choice. For details and tickets:

This 6-track EP-CD relies heavily on the arranging skills of Brent Turner, whose charts are tailored to the band’s strengths: clean section work and impressive vocals by Larisa and Dave. Musical Director saxophonist Jeff Pighin ensures that the band’s tonal palette is tuned up to its optimum level. And Celebrations! also introduces a new and sensuous dimension to the Swing Shift sound – strings … an exciting first for the band!
